STAER : spring untangler
The French company STAER (Société Technique d’Automatisme et d’Ensembles à Ressorts) is a European company which, since 1987, realizes spring and metal part automation processes on assembly lines known as the Staer system.
This system transfers correctly-aligned springs one at a time:
- automated unscrambling and distribution of springs and metal wire parts.
- integration of spring manufacturing on the assembly line
- and packaging and distribution of the springs
The Springleader combines the action of a mechanical system and a timed pneumatic propulsion system. The springs are released via de flexible plastic tube to the distribution station with automatic buffer stock management at the unscrambler outlet and the possibility of multiple outlets. The output rate is adapted to the spring configuration.
The unscrambling tank of the Springleader can hold several thousand springs. Unscramblers are designed according to the type of spring.
The STAER system also allows manufacturing and distribution of metal strip parts.
This system is unique and has received many innovation awards. Since its creation in 1987, STAER has developed spring and metal wire automation processes known for their superior quality, using technologies that are unique.
With the Stylo, STAER has the solution to release the metal springs one by one manually or automatically.
