Vision systems usually consist of intelligent cameras (a camera with built-in pc and software for image processing) that transfer coordinates to the robot where it should pick a product.
It is also possible to use a “simple” camera that transfers the images to an image processing unit (CV1 & CV2) or to a frame grabber that is placed in a PC which then runs the image processing software. This way the coordinates are forwarded to the robot. (Vision guide 7.0).
Thanks to the joint programming environment with the Epson RC+ development interface , no time is wasted when connecting robot and vision system. Through simple commands and the intuitive interface with graphic objects, tasks that require flexible automation are solved with simple parameterization.
